The
real essence of the Cotswolds is the beautiful unspoilt villages, some
of the best of which are literally on our doorstep. There is also a
first class choice of inns and restaurants within the locality.
There
are many beautiful walks in the immediate area and in addition to the
numerous facilities on site, fly-fishing; golf; swimming and horse riding
are all available near at hand. As well as stately homes such as Blenheim;
Stanway house; Chastelton House; Seizencote and Snowshill Manor, some
of England's loveliest gardens and arboretums are nearby - Batsford;
Westonbirt; Hidcote; Kiftsgate; Sudeley. For children we have Birdland,
The Model Village, Model Railway at Bourton on the Water; Cotswold Farm
Park and Cotswold Wildlife Park; the steam railway at Toddington, Sleepy
Hollow Farm Park and Broadway Tower and Country Park. For adults who
like antique hunting and paintings the Cotswolds are a veritable mecca
- Stow on the Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway being particularly
worth a visit.
